At Keepsee, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information and family memories. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use the Keepsee website, mobile app, and related services.

Keepsee helps families turn photos and videos from their phones into organized home movies, video journals, and time capsules that can be saved, viewed, and shared with family members and loved ones.

Information we collect

Personal information

When you create an account or use Keepsee, we may collect your name, email address, login information, account preferences, and payment information if you purchase a paid plan or subscription. If you choose to invite family members or share a movie, we may collect information needed to send or manage those invitations, such as recipient names, email addresses, phone numbers, or relationship labels.

Login information

If you sign in using a third-party service such as Facebook, Apple, or Google, we may receive basic account information such as your name, email address, profile identifier, or authentication token. We use this information to create, secure, and manage your account.

Photos, videos, and other user content

Keepsee processes the photos, videos, captions, titles, and other information you choose to select, upload, sync, or submit to create previews, final movies, and related projects. Processing may happen on your device or through our services, depending on the feature you use. Content uploaded to our services may be stored to provide that feature. Media may include images, voices, faces, dates, locations embedded in files, and other associated information.

App and usage data

We may collect pages or screens viewed, features used, upload activity, movie creation status, device type, browser type, app version, crash reports, and performance data. We use this information to operate, improve, troubleshoot, and secure Keepsee.

Payment information

Purchases may be processed by third-party payment providers or app store platforms. Keepsee does not store full credit card numbers unless explicitly stated by the payment provider.

How we use your information

• Create, organize, edit, render, store, and deliver movies and related media projects.
• Provide access to your account and family movie library.
• Allow invitations, contributions, and sharing with loved ones.
• Personalize reminders, titles, recipient names, and settings.
• Communicate about your account, uploads, movies, purchases, support requests, and product updates.
• Improve the website, app, movie creation process, and customer support.
• Monitor performance, prevent fraud, secure accounts, and comply with legal obligations.

How we handle your photos and videos

Your photos and videos are personal family memories. We use them only to provide and improve the Keepsee service. We do not sell your photos, videos, or family media. We do not use your private family media for advertising.

We do not share private family media with other users unless you choose to invite contributors, share a movie, or send access to a recipient. A shared link can be viewed or forwarded by someone who receives it, so send links only to people you trust.

Keepsee may process uploaded media using automated tools, cloud services, or human review when needed for support, troubleshooting, quality control, safety, or video production. Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who need access to operate or support the service.

Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted providers that help with hosting, storage, video processing, authentication, payments, email and messaging delivery, analytics, performance monitoring, customer support, security, and fraud prevention. These providers may use information only as needed to provide services to Keepsee.

We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Keepsee, our users, or others.

Optional SMS and WhatsApp reminders

If you separately opt in, Keepsee may send automated SMS or WhatsApp reminders to film and add memories. You choose your reminder schedule; the default is weekly plus a month-end reminder, typically 5–6 reminders per month. Frequency varies with your settings. Message and data rates may apply. You may also receive a one-time verification message when you request to verify your number.

We collect the phone number, selected channel, reminder preferences, opt-in and opt-out records, and delivery information needed to operate this program. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing or using Keepsee. SMS and WhatsApp consent are collected separately.

We do not sell or share mobile numbers, mobile opt-in information, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to messaging service providers, including Twilio and, for WhatsApp, Meta, solely to operate the messaging service.

For SMS, reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. For WhatsApp, turn off WhatsApp reminders in your settings or contact us to withdraw consent. You can change your reminder preferences in the app or email support@keepsee.com. Family movie links that you choose to send through your own messaging app are separate from this reminder program.

Data retention

We keep personal information and user content as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete your account or request deletion, we delete or de-identify your information unless retention is required or permitted for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or operational reasons. Some deleted information may remain temporarily in backups or logs during normal deletion processes.

Your choices and rights

To request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of your information, contact support@keepsee.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to processing or withdraw consent. You may also update some information inside the app.

Account and data deletion

Email support@keepsee.com with the subject “Delete My Keepsee Data” and the email address associated with your account. We may verify your identity. We will delete or de-identify associated account information, login data, uploaded media, movies, and other content, subject to the retention exceptions above. You may also use any account deletion option available inside the app.

Facebook data deletion instructions

If you signed in with Facebook, use the same deletion request above. You can also disconnect Keepsee in Facebook: open Settings & privacy, select Settings, open Apps and Websites, find Keepsee, and select Remove. Removing Keepsee from Facebook disconnects Facebook Login; to delete your Keepsee account data, contact us or use an account deletion option inside the app.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information and content. These may include encryption, secure cloud storage, access controls, authentication, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Keepsee is designed for parents, guardians, and family members. Children may appear in media provided by users, but Keepsee is not intended for children to create accounts without appropriate parental or guardian involvement. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact support@keepsee.com.

International users

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. These countries may have privacy laws different from your country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will update the effective date and may notify you through the app, website, email, or other appropriate means when changes are material. Where consent is required, we will request it.
